Section l internet safety

This will supply you with useful information that

will help you be safe on the web and stay away from harmful apps.

Hackers & What to do if your Computer gets Hacked

Web pages and browsers that can be harmful can use explicit images and take personal information from your files and saved data.

If you think that your computer is being watched by speed hackers use this information to help —

The FBI. The FBI recommends that cybercrime victims call them first — not your local police. The agency has an Internet Crime Complaint Center, where you can file details on what happened and analysts will review the case to determine what actions to take. Often, though, nothing much is done.

This provided information will be used when your computer is being hacked or at least you think your computer is being hacked.

‘’All hackers look like this’’ right

No nonsense; you might think that your computer is being watched or explicitly being hacked into by the government but that is just a tale to get people scared and to hate your local law enforcement and government officials. Your computer will never be hacked into by the government for your personal information. If your computer does get hacked or you see someone doing a cyber crime contact the FBI or the Cyber Crimes Corporation.

For safe and responsible searches to be accurate: I will go through your available typical search engine and explain original content that will help you get accurate and safe, specific information.

Google Search Engine

Bellow:

Your typical search engine is google right, so when you go on google and search for what you’re looking for don’t go straight to the lower search underneath where it says google.

For accurate information and to make sure the google homepage is not a scam or has bugs go to the top search bar and type google.com/search

This will bring you to a screen that looks like this.

If you type this exactly New York Times And hold the page to where you can see a list of results without hitting enter then you will see at the top it has a price bar.

Typically if you would use the top search engine and type in New York Times you would not see a price.

Thus you can tell the difference between the search results between the top search bar and the lower search bar.

I would not prefer Firefox or Yahoo search engines because they don’t supply you with accurate information

Google supplies you with original content and new content that is safe and doesn’t typically have bugs or viruses on the web pages. DuckDuckGo is the Best Search engine there is on the web.

Moving on to wikipedia, browser extensions and entertainment such as Youtube.

Can Google searches be illegal?

You can search pretty much whatever you want online — searching for information is not a crime. But certain searches are monitored and certain words will trigger suspicion and investigations, and if you engage in illegal activity online, that is a crime.

Use Your Time Wisely

  1. Make sure you always have SafeSearch on. You can find some pretty bad stuff later on if you don’t.
  2. Stay away from sites that look cautious. It’s possible you could run into an inappropriate site or one that contains a virus!
  3. Don’t spend your whole life on YouTube.

electronic security

E-safety is often defined as the safe and responsible use of technology. This includes the use of the internet and also other means of communication using electronic media (eg text messages, gaming devices, email etc). In practice, e-safety is as much about behaviour as it is electronic security.

Can a YouTube video send you to jail? The answer, potentially, is yes, but perhaps not for the reasons you might think. … That can indeed lead to potential fines or lawsuits, YouTube advises, but it generally won’t result in an arrest or incarceration.

Follow these internet safety tips for avoiding spyware and fortify your computer security right away:

  • Avoid questionable websites.
  • Only download software from sites you trust. …
  • Update your operating system regularly.
  • Increase your browser security settings.

Use passwords that consist of these things !@#$1234ABC

The risk is severe if your not being safe on the internet

People can hack into your device and take personal information that can be embarrassing to you or other people. Make This a Lesson Of How You Can Be Safe On The Internet.

Sincerely: Charles Grochala

Internet payments and text messages

The payments that you make online can have a good and bad impact on your device.

Making payments online can make users that work for the company that you are paying, they can have access to files and report history on websites that you visit.

Thus you may want to use guards-guards is another saying for owning or having a secure browsing web page such as (beaver) Beaver is a free browser extension that protects your information every time you go on a website.

You can also use pingdom; pingdom is a free to use app that can monitor your web browsing, it also monitors your feed. This has a live feed of your every action.

For Teachers & staff of schools;

This is important for teachers: Go-guardian is a web extension that teachers can use to monitor students if you are worried about your students web safety and browsing abilities.

Go-guardian can have a live feed on each students computer.

All you do is set up your class-period, make a class code and Vewala you now have a class monitoring system.

I extensively know about this from my previous years of high school and middle school.

All my teachers used this extension, its a good way of having monitoring on all your students web safety.

But note this: you will only be able to monitor your students in that class period that you set up but you can set up multiple class periods such as 1st period, 2nd period, 3rd period and 4th period

All the class periods have different online streaming time-which means you can only monitor your students in there assigned period for the amount of time that the class has. Lets say 1:20pm-2:35pm you can only see what the students are doing in this timeline because this is the amount of time that the class last. Simple right.

  1. Simply go online to your local device that you own: preferably a computer that links up to other bluetooth devices.
  2. Look up this exactly: Go-guardian.com

Or i can provide the link down below

https://www.goguardian.com/

  1. Then you simply answer the questions provided by the robot asking questions on the right side of the screen
  2. The series of questions will be: what brings you to go guardian today
  3. What do you need
  4. What are you looking for
  5. Monitoring and administration for students
  6. other

When you come to these questions, at the end there you will answer a question: when do you need your monitoring to start
